Ammi for me, for you it may be Mom, Mummy, Aai or endless synonyms could be there but there is no synonym of her personality, affection, love, care, attentiveness, closeness, attachment, affinity, tenderness. Ammi isn't just a pronoun, its beyond the complete grammar. Sometime harsh, every time kind. Sometime tough, every time easy. Sometime freezing, every time warm. Some time deficit, every time surplus. Endless expressions of life, inner peace, epitome of harmony, chirping of birds, roar of lioness.

One who's smile worth uncountable, One who has been a part of my pain, sorrow, grief, heartache, heartbreak, sadness, misery and will be. One who's happy because I am........

She let herself to be traumatized, damaged, injured, wounded, distressed to give me this life. I am nothing, but you Ammi.

I thought of writing about you but, was unable to decide the beginning,
I thought of writing you but, was unable to choose a pen. Indeed there isn't a pen invented which can portray you on paper. My utmost happiness and a never ending, beginning that's you Ammi.

Still I managed to write something for you Ammi.


                  कोशिश

जब भी आपको लिखने की कोशिश करता हुँ,

जैसे समुन्दर की लेहरो को रोकने की कोशिश करता हुँ

मुक़ाम वह है के उफ़ कहना भी है गुनाह,
बेवक़ूफ़ हूँ, चंद अशआरों में समेटने की कोशिश करता हुँ
        
है असर वोह के रेगिस्तां से भी ज़म-ज़म निकले,
क्यूँ नहीं में इन दुआओं को बटोरने की कोशिश करता हुँ
